My Thoughts - Reviews : UMBARRO

Film is a concept originally came from trend of human nature of story telling. This trend was taken ahead from oral to written-stories to stage-drama and finally to cinema.

Here is one such story, called UMBARRO which i recently watched in the theater. 

The movie one must watch.... 

My first impression of the story is impressive, its a family entertainer with lots of emotions, laughter and leaving behind a big thought that each one of us should do. I would like to highlight some views on this story from my perspective, its the way i analyze story friends.........

"UMBARRO" is a Gujarati film directed by Abhishek Shah and released on January 24, 2025. The narrative follows seven ladies from different cities in gujarat who solo visits to international trip to London.  

The story focuses on lots of aspects. The wings tour is a platform which gives space to fly one off their daily routine life and think of their dreams, share their problems with friends. The story also reflects that what you see is not always true, the inner feelings and emotions are most of the time fake, just to be part of the society we need to wear a mask and thats what happenes with most of us. 

Lot of minor details which as per my perspective is taken care of,  Seven ladies ???? seven, I think 7  is a number which reflects the fact of SEVEN COLOURS OF RAINBOW like seven different aspects of life. It reflects SEVEN NOTES OF MUSIC like seven different emotions of life. SEVEN DAYS OF WEEK like seven priorities of life and so on.....

Story of each ladies with a journey of different emotions and experiences in life is showcased here. Seven ladies are of all age groups who are at various stages of life i.e. Unmarried, Engaged, Happily married, Traditional woman, Divorcee, Widow and Senior citizen. 

Beauty of london and that to with the eye of Gujarati woman is adding sweet flavour of laughter to the story. Mother-daughter a pure unconditional love relationship is also presented beautifully. The Mother-Daughter love is so pure that it is one of the best God's creation of love. The current situation of few parents staying out of india and their dream is also nicely described. A traditional indian woman who is so busy with her family, her responsibolities that she never thought that one can have dream-wish, this thought to some extent still exists with many woman in our society and its nicely depicted. 

But the story very well manages to showcase the problem of all and how with the help of one another find some possible solution, happy ending obviously. It reflects that many problems which generally as a woman we ACCEPT and considers it to be part of life has a way out. There are other ways to look at the problem and find a way out of the problem when you think over it, step-out of your routine (Umberrro) and give time to your self. 

So overall its a MUST WATCH MOVIE.
