National Science Day (28th Feb) : Theme for 2025

On the occasion of National Science Day (28th Feb), a brief article is presented here for all my readers to ensure that we stay align with our Nation's goal.

Celebrated annually on:
28 February
On February 28, 1928, Chandrasekhara Venkata (CV) Raman announced the discovery of the Raman Effect and for it he was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1930.

(The Raman effect is the change in the wavelength of light that occurs when a light beam is deflected by molecules.)

Aim of celebration:
Discovery of the Raman Effect by physicist CV Raman in 1928. Since 1986, this day has been celebrated across India to recognise scientific achievements and promote awareness among students and the public.

The Theme for National Science Day 2025:
"Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science & Innovation for Viksit Bharat".

The theme will focus on,
  •     Encouraging young minds,
  •     Recognising groundbreaking contributions, and
  •     Celebrating India's scientific achievements.

Inspirational quotes by CV Raman:
  • The essence of science is independent thinking, hard work, and not equipment. When I got my Nobel Prize, I had spent hardly 200 rupees on my equipment.
  • We must teach science in the mother tongue. Otherwise, science will become a highbrow activity. It will not be an activity in which all people can participate.
The wonderful thing about Raman's work is that he started it all by asking such a simple-sounding question: "Why is the sky blue?" Science is the subject of thinking based on observation and knowledge.

And here I would like to make an important announcement that while writing articles on diverse topics i landed up writing one book 📚 which I have published recently on various platforms. This is my first book.  With blessings of God and elders , wishes of all well-wishers and inspiration of all my readers, I could make this happen. The title of the book is:   " AI, The silent partner of our life",  AI and US, Rising the future.   The book is an eye-opener for all age groups. The book is about Artificial intelligence and Us.  It  explores the role of artificial Intelligence / technology in shaping the way we live, learn, work and connect.  This book serves as a valuable resource for us, simplifying the complexities of raising children in today's world. The book also highlights o...

An UMBRELLA mindset: Feeling calm in life's Rainy Moments

Rain is natural. Are we able to stop it?  Are we able to avoid going in rain?   Answer is NO ,   Rather we  CARRY AN UMBRELLA & Enjoy the moment .   Same way,  If unpredictable response comes from our loved-ones in life, what should we do? TAKE AN UMBRELLA APPROACH.   Let me explain in brief: Rain is natural but we invented umbrella ☔ to protect ourselves from it. This simple act conveys deep truth. It tells us that at times we face situations which we can't change, in that case we need to adapt to people as we do with seasons.  Unpredictable behavior or harsh words from loved ones are like rain. We expect warmth or support, but instead we might feel criticism or indifference.    We can not change nature of our closed ones but we can surely adapt to them in a way that protects our peace and brings joy in the moment as we do while walking with umbrella in the rain. Adaptability here doesn't mean giving up, ignoring or leaving the rela...

Be Like Salt: Quietly Powerful, Gently Essential

What a beautiful and wise thought...... "Be like salt — present just enough to be essential, never too much to be taken for granted, and never so little to be ignored." means,  Try to build your personality like salt. People have habit of taking you for granted if you are always good to them. So never let anyone overuse you. At the same time, don’t be so absent that they forget your worth.   Like salt, which enhances flavour without overpowering, one's influence should be significant but not overwhelming.
