Journey : Feeding Stomach to Feeding Soul

"Food for the body, wisdom for the soul."

We talked a lot about cooking in my previous articles now let's  make cooking a soulful experience.

Just like daily feeding of stomach is important, equally important is daily feeding our soul.  Thanks to my friend who gave me this thought while going through my articles.

They both are linked with each other to quiet a great extent.

Feeding stomach is more than a biological process, it is linked with Cultural, social, and emotional dimensions of life.

Feeding the soul involves engaging in activities that nurture one’s mind, heart, and spirit.

Here are few things that we can take care in the process of preparing food..

Prepare with care and intention, whether for oneself or others, can be an act of love, mindfulness, and creativity.

1) The act of sharing meals and the preparation of traditional dishes contribute to a deeper sense of connection.

In many traditions, food holds spiritual significance, symbolizing gratitude and unity

2)While cooking, ensure that your mind is not stressed. Keep positive mindset while preparing food for family. This positivity flows from stomach to soul. One can keep soft music in kitchen while cooking.

3)Before eating show gratitude towards food and god. One can do small prayer of your choice to show gratitude, it would not take much time but will add much of value to your kids. It will create connection with food.

4) Fire represents transformation, use it mindfully.

5) Use fresh vegetables and unprocessed ingredients if possible.

6) Serve food with 😊.

The Interconnection between the two  'Feeding the Stomach' and 'Feeding the Soul' are deeply interwoven.

A hungry person finds it difficult to focus on intellectual or spiritual growth, just as a well-fed person may still feel empty if their soul remains unfed.

With this balanced life, individuals can lead lives that are not only sustained but h meaning, purpose, and joy.

An UMBRELLA mindset: Feeling calm in life's Rainy Moments

Rain is natural. Are we able to stop it?  Are we able to avoid going in rain?   Answer is NO ,   Rather we  CARRY AN UMBRELLA & Enjoy the moment .   Same way,  If unpredictable response comes from our loved-ones in life, what should we do? TAKE AN UMBRELLA APPROACH.   Let me explain in brief: Rain is natural but we invented umbrella ☔ to protect ourselves from it. This simple act conveys deep truth. It tells us that at times we face situations which we can't change, in that case we need to adapt to people as we do with seasons.  Unpredictable behavior or harsh words from loved ones are like rain. We expect warmth or support, but instead we might feel criticism or indifference.    We can not change nature of our closed ones but we can surely adapt to them in a way that protects our peace and brings joy in the moment as we do while walking with umbrella in the rain. Adaptability here doesn't mean giving up, ignoring or leaving the rela...

Be Like Salt: Quietly Powerful, Gently Essential

What a beautiful and wise thought...... "Be like salt — present just enough to be essential, never too much to be taken for granted, and never so little to be ignored." means,  Try to build your personality like salt. People have habit of taking you for granted if you are always good to them. So never let anyone overuse you. At the same time, don’t be so absent that they forget your worth.   Like salt, which enhances flavour without overpowering, one's influence should be significant but not overwhelming.
