The "love tank" concept is a popularized concept introduced by Dr. Gary Chapman which illustrate the idea of emotional needs in relationships. This concept if applied to any relationship I am sure it can bring happiness.
It says that just like a car needs fuel in the tank to run smoothly, individuals have an emotional "tank" which needs to be filled to bring smoothness in the relationship.
Love tank represents the need for love, which can be filled or emptied by various actions and interactions.
This is applicable in any relationship, but here i would like to apply this to parent-child relationship and see the magic.
LOVE TANK CONCEPT (For PARENT-CHILD)
Understanding and practicing the love languages of your child can help to keep their love tank full. This will lead to a stronger relationship.
The concept of the love tank can also be applied to friendships, family relationships, and even self-care. It emphasizes the importance of nurturing our own emotional needs. Start applying from today. Many things we already do as part of our routine but understanding logically and applying it to life gives results.
Love tank represents the need for love, which can be filled or emptied by various actions and interactions.
- Actions that show love and appreciation, such as quality time, words of affirmation, gifts etc. can fill the love tank.
- Actions like Negligence ,lack of communication ,disrespect etc. can drain the love tank.

LOVE TANK CONCEPT (For PARENT-CHILD)

Smile on your child's face will act like a meter of LOVE TANK. Your actions should bring innocent smile on your child's face.
These are some of the thoughts that i had which can keep love tank full. There can be many based on your child's personality. But do try it out yourself.
- Appreciate your child on small small achievements. Give them small small gifts (It can be just one choclate but it matters).
- When your child needs you, be available AT THAT POINT OF TIME.
- Spend quality time with your child. Prioritize your activities keeping your child in focus. You have to be their role model, try to act accordingly.
- Even if you are not interested in some games or activities which your child is crazy about, do play with him, show that he is better than you sometimes.
- Food menu should also be prepared thoughtfully. On his achievements days do small celebrations at home by preparing his/her choice of food. I think these all mothers do (Hats on to all mothers who really put in lots of efforts to prepare kids choice food - full of love and taste).
- During discussions with your child, use words of affirmation. It makes a difference in terms of impact it has on your child's love tank. When someone hears positive and affirming words, it boosts their confidence, making them feel valued and appreciated.
