Science : how to be happy

Happiness is not a permanent state but can be cultivated through daily habits.

Science suggests several ways to increase happiness based on psychological and neurological research. Here are some key strategies:

1. Practice Gratitude

  • Keep a gratitude journal OR Simply reflect on things you're thankful for can boost happiness

Studies show that gratitude activates brain regions associated with pleasure and reward.

2. Engage in Physical Activity

  • Exercise releases endorphins, which are natural mood boosters.
Activities like walking, yoga, or dancing improve mental well-being.

3. Foster Positive Relationships

  • Strong social connections are linked to greater happiness and lower stress levels.
Spending time with loved ones increases oxytocin, a hormone associated with bonding.

4. Practice Mindfulness & Meditation

  • Mindfulness helps you stay present and reduces overthinking.
Meditation has been shown to lower stress and increase feelings of contentment.

5. Get Enough Sleep

  • Poor sleep affects mood, energy, and cognitive function.
A consistent sleep schedule improves emotional regulation.

6. Help Others (Acts of Kindness)

  • Volunteering or simple acts of kindness improve overall well-being.
Doing good for others increases serotonin and dopamine (happy hormons) levels.

7. Set and Pursue Meaningful Goals

  • Working towards something meaningful brings fulfillment.
Small achievements boost motivation and self-esteem.

8. Reduce Stress & Manage Negative Thoughts

  • Focusing on positive aspects rather than dwelling on negatives improves mood.
Techniques like deep breathing, journaling, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) help reduce stress.

9. Enjoy Nature

  • Sunlight exposure boosts Vitamin D, which is essential for mood regulation.
Spending time in nature is linked to reduced anxiety and increased happiness.

10. Eat a Balanced Diet

  • Nutrients like Omega-3, magnesium, and probiotics influence brain health and mood.
Avoiding excessive sugar and processed foods helps stabilize energy levels.

An article with celebration : 50 it is not just a number of this article , it's a milestone, a journey, an experience and learning too.... Yes friends, this is my 50th article. And here I would like to make an important announcement that while writing articles on diverse topics i landed up writing one book 📚 which I have published recently on various platforms. This is my first book.  With blessings of God and elders , wishes of all well-wishers and inspiration of all my readers, I could make this happen. The title of the book is:   " AI, The silent partner of our life",  AI and US, Rising the future.   The book is an eye-opener for all age groups. KIDS : Our reflection, Our Responsibility

Friends, can we spare sometime and go back to our childhood....  The fun days we had, stress-free environment we lived, friend circle we had, level of communication we had with our family, games we used to play with our parents and lot many things.....  We did not have so many exposures but yes, the freedom (stress-free) to play and study. We did not have many activities around but still exposure with no competition around.  We did not have too many tuitions but still had professionals and skilled people around.  Feel so nice to think of all this.  BUT  Are we as parents really providing the same environment to our kids? They are always loaded with too much of competition, too many challenges, too many exams and evaluations, too many tuitions. It's an environment full of stress. Its good sometimes to have competition but everything in excess is harmful. Friends it's taking away their childhood. CHILDHOOD COMES ONLY ONCE LET's NOT SPOIL IT... LET THEM ENJOY...

International Mother Language day (21 feb) : માતૃભાષા આપણું ગૌરવ

Friends, tomorrow is International Mother language day , on this occasion i would like to ask that, when our child speaks English fluently we feel proud but at the same time when he/she cannot even utter a word in our mother tongue why are we not feeling shameful?  It's good and necessary to know fluent English but at the same time it's equally important to know fluent reading and writing of our mother tongue.  Mother tongue is our pride. માતૃભાષા આપણું ગૌરવ છે. 21મી ફેબ્રુઆરી આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય માતૃભાષા દિવસ તરીકે ઉજવવામાં આવે છે.
