On 24th August was Mahavir jayanti. The celebration was great and with enlightening experience for all. Just wanted to share few thoughts here related to celebration..
A birthday marks the beginning of an individual’s journey, but when it comes to great personalities like saints, leaders or divine figures, we celebrate it as a Jayanti, a symbol of victory. Victory over injustice, ignorance, darkness, and even karmas. Their lives are not just personal stories, they are gifts to society and to the world.
The word Jayanti goes beyond mere remembrance. It signifies keeping their values alive and living by the principles they stood for.
Such celebrations, especially when done with family, hold great importance. They unite people, create awareness in children about the contributions and teachings of these great souls and inspire gratitude in us. When kids see so many people following some path with joy they understand the importance of it. Their faith/belief in God starts growing up.
Religion is way of life, it's not separate journey, if it's woven in routine it helps you to be calm and helps us grow better individual in various situations. Such events helps you build respect for your religion and brings you together.
Gratitude, in turn, makes us more humble and responsible.
That is why we should wholeheartedly be a part of such celebrations with our families, especially with children. Even without many words, the environment of positivity naturally instills good qualities, joy and calmness in everyone present.
🙏 Happy Mahavir jayanti to all. 🙏
