Captured Moments TO Cherished Memories...

Celebrations are always fun,  but  Sometimes memories are even more delightful. This thought takes me back to our recent society ladies’ gathering — our kitty. It was a beautiful two-hour event filled with laughter, games, lucky draws and a delicious dinner. Such gatherings give us, ladies, a chance to relax, unwind, and relive our playful side — to laugh like children, argue playfully and manage everything like caring mothers. The club house hall was glowing with flowery decoration and the soft music in the background adding liveliness to an event. The aroma of fast food and laughter echoed from every corner as friends greeted each other warmly made the event even more memorable. The event started with a Game called 'Diwali Word Dhamaka', planned and hosted by me. The team names for the game were set appropriate to the theme. The names created a good impact in the team. The spin wheel concept of next participants in the game added lots of excitement in the game as every ...

Diwali Cleaning — A Reflection Beyond Dust

“Cleanliness is next to Godliness.” We’ve all heard this since childhood, and as women, we try our best to maintain cleanliness alongwith our daily responsibilities. But when it comes to Diwali cleaning, the experience feels truly different. During this festive season, we clean every corner of our home — sometimes even things we know we no longer use. Yet, we hold on to them because they carry memories. Each item takes us down memory lane, bringing back smiles and warmth. And that’s perfectly fine, friends — memories are precious. But let’s remember to keep only a few. After all, if we don’t make space, how will we create new memories for our children? Cleaning may bring tiredness, but when done together with family or kids, it turns into fun and laughter. And yes, sometimes we even find those long-lost things we were searching for — another little joy of Diwali cleaning! But beyond the physical cleaning, let’s also focus on cleansing our inner world. Just as we remove dust from ...

'M' for mobile (World’s doorway) vs. 'M' for mother( Self’s mirror )

Mobile and mother : Two important parts of our daily routine.  In today’s world of technology, it’s hard to imagine a day without a mobile phone. It takes conscious effort and discipline to keep it aside or switch it off for even a few hours. No doubt, mobile phones have become a necessity, but many of us, especially students have started giving them far more importance than needed. Students, who need both mental and physical focus for learning, often end up spending unnecessary time on their phones.  The mobile may have Google to answer your questions, but it doesn’t know your heart, your feelings or your priorities in its reply. Your mother with her experience and love, understands you far better than any device ever could. Try asking a question to your mother someday instead of Google . Your Facebook can help you grow the network  but  your mother can teach you importance of connectivity in real life. --- Your Instagram can help you make creative reels  but...

What, Whom, How and When: A Framework for Meaningful Speech

I just read somewhere: "Wisdom begins with knowing what to say. Maturity lies in understanding whom to say it to. Intelligence reflects in how you say it. But true brilliance is revealed in knowing when silence speaks louder than words." In my earlier writings, I’ve explored these aspects separately, but let’s now weave them into a single framework of communication. --------------------------------------------------------------- Reference Articles are:  Silence and Speech: The Art of Choosing Wisely WORD and WORLD, a thin line between Word and world (Part2) : Parents vs. Child and Many more... ------------------------------------------------------------------- In today’s world, even children demonstrate striking levels of maturity. Hence our words play a pivotal role in building and nurturing relationships. This naturally raises four essential questions: What to say? Whom to say it to? How to say it? When to say it? The answers unfold like a cycle of ...
