Woman in Science : Ada lovelace, A visionary; the first computer programmer

Can you imagine existence of a computer programme in 19th Century?

The answer is:
YES.

A first computer programme was developed during this time by Ada Lovelace, a visionary woman.

Ada Lovelace, A woman of proud

In early centuries scientific discoveries were mainly dominated by male scientists. This was due to social norms and educational barriers for woman. Despite these challenges many female scientists have contributed in the field of science.
(I would like to highlight such visionaries based on information available so far in my coming articles.)

Background:
Ada Lovelace (1815–1852) was an English mathematician and writer. She was born in London in 1815 to poet Lord Byron and Lady Byron.

Her mother another woman behind her success story ensured that Ada receives rigorous training in mathematics and science which was uncommon for women at that time. Her efforts helped her to develop skills that led to her world's first computer programmer.

Achievements:
  • Known as the world’s first computer programmer
  • Worked with Charles Babbage (the father of computer) on his Analytical Engine, an early mechanical computer.
  • Ada programming language a powerful, secure, and highly reliable language, ideal for critical systems is named after her name.

Key Contributions:
  1. First Computer Program : She wrote the first algorithm for the Analytical Engine, explaining how it could compute numbers using a step-by-step process.
  2. Vision of Computing : She saw that computers could do more than just math, they could process symbols, music, and language, similar to modern computers.
  3. Influence on Future Computing : Her ideas inspired later developments in programming and artificial intelligence. Every year, Ada Lovelace Day is observed to recognize women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). It takes place on the second Tuesday of October.

Though her work was not fully recognized in her time, Ada Lovelace is now celebrated as a pioneer of computing.

She is a WOMAN OF PROUD

An inspirational message here is:
"See the big picture",
"Unleash your potential",
"Transform your sight" and
"Reimagine the world".

My First Book: My Jounrney from article 1 to article 50...

An article with celebration : 50 it is not just a number of this article , it's a milestone, a journey, an experience and learning too.... Yes friends, this is my 50th article. And here I would like to make an important announcement that while writing articles on diverse topics i landed up writing one book 📚 which I have published recently on various platforms. This is my first book.  With blessings of God and elders , wishes of all well-wishers and inspiration of all my readers, I could make this happen. The title of the book is:   " AI, The silent partner of our life",  AI and US, Rising the future.   The book is an eye-opener for all age groups. The book is about Artificial intelligence and Us.  It  explores the role of artificial Intelligence / technology in shaping the way we live, learn, work and connect.  This book serves as a valuable resource for us, simplifying the complexities of raising children in today's world. The book also highlights o...

KIDS : Our reflection, Our Responsibility

Friends, can we spare sometime and go back to our childhood....  The fun days we had, stress-free environment we lived, friend circle we had, level of communication we had with our family, games we used to play with our parents and lot many things.....  We did not have so many exposures but yes, the freedom (stress-free) to play and study. We did not have many activities around but still exposure with no competition around.  We did not have too many tuitions but still had professionals and skilled people around.  Feel so nice to think of all this.  BUT  Are we as parents really providing the same environment to our kids? They are always loaded with too much of competition, too many challenges, too many exams and evaluations, too many tuitions. It's an environment full of stress. Its good sometimes to have competition but everything in excess is harmful. Friends it's taking away their childhood. CHILDHOOD COMES ONLY ONCE LET's NOT SPOIL IT... LET THEM ENJOY...

International Mother Language day (21 feb) : માતૃભાષા આપણું ગૌરવ

Friends, tomorrow is International Mother language day , on this occasion i would like to ask that, when our child speaks English fluently we feel proud but at the same time when he/she cannot even utter a word in our mother tongue why are we not feeling shameful?  It's good and necessary to know fluent English but at the same time it's equally important to know fluent reading and writing of our mother tongue.  Mother tongue is our pride. માતૃભાષા આપણું ગૌરવ છે. 21મી ફેબ્રુઆરી આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય માતૃભાષા દિવસ તરીકે ઉજવવામાં આવે છે.
